The mining company Boliden is looking to buy the crisis-hit Aldermyrberget wind farm. According to Dagens industri, a cash offer worth EUR 55 million, equivalent to SEK 634 million, has been made.

The offer is said to be dated Thursday, November 21. It is presented after Boliden previously criticized the wind power company's reorganization plan to the Stockholm District Court, as it believes that a correct valuation of Aldermyrberget shows that the bankruptcy value is more than 146 percent higher than stated in the reorganization report.

However, the administrator Mikael Kubu believes that Boliden's bid is not serious.

"It is extremely unusual for someone to make a takeover bid the day before a plan meeting in an ongoing company reconstruction in this way. And one might wonder whether this is primarily a procedural tactic on Boliden's part," says Mikael Kubu.

Boliden is of a different opinion and describes the bid as serious.

"We simply see that the electricity supply, which is absolutely fundamental to us, is far too important at this stage not to have control over", says Klas Nilsson, Communications Director at Boliden.

The district court is expected to decide on the proposal for a reorganization plan and debt settlement on 6 December, according to Kubu.
