Swedish companies most affected by Harris/Trump tax proposals - Di
The tax is currently at 21 percent, after Trump during the last presidential term lowered it from 35 percent. He now wants to go further and reduce it to 15%. Harris, on the other hand, wants to do the opposite and instead raise it to 28 percent.
According to Di's review, there are a total of 38 companies on the Stockholm Stock Exchange that have at least one tenth of their revenue in the US, and thus qualify for the list.
The company expected to be most affected in absolute terms is Astra Zeneca - SEK 10 billion.
Next comes Volvo with a difference of SEK 2.2 billion, depending on who wins, followed by Assa Abloy, Atlas Copco and Ericsson with over SEK 1 billion each.
In percentage terms, the impact is greatest on communications services company Sinch. A Trump victory would lift net income for 2025 by more than 4%, or drag it down by more than 5% if Harris wins.
"Much is also at stake for Munters, Loomis, Assa Abloy, Securitas and Hexpol," Di adds.
Autoliv is also considered to be in trouble based on Trump's threat of new higher trade barriers. This is because the company has "a large production in Mexico and only 7 percent of its employees in the US, but with over 30 percent of its turnover there", writes Di.
