Airbus announces a firm order from Cathay for 30 wide-body A330-900 aircraft, following an in-depth evaluation by the Hong Kong airline as part of its program to renew its fleet of medium wide-body aircraft.

These aircraft will enable Cathay to modernize its previous-generation fleet and expand its activities on high-capacity regional routes. The aircraft will also offer the flexibility needed to serve longer-range destinations.

'Like all Airbus aircraft, the A330neo is already capable of operating on up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with the aim of increasing this to 100% by 2030', the aircraft manufacturer also states.
