Airbus announced on Thursday that Lars Wagner, currently Chairman of the Management Board at MTU Aero Engines, will take over as Chief Executive Officer of its 'Airbus Commercial Aircraft' division starting January 1, 2026.
Lars Wagner will assume his new role at the beginning of November 2025 to ensure a smooth transition with his predecessor, Christian Scherer, according to a press release.
