The Stockholm Stock Exchange broke the negative trend, OMXS30 index up 0.5 percent
The trend was in line with the major European stock exchanges. On Wall Street, developments were erratic.
At the close, the OMXS30 index was up 0.48 percent to 2,496.31. Shares worth around SEK 14.9 billion were traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
The best performance among the stock exchange's major industrial sectors was energy with a rise of 2.34 percent. At the other end of the scale, real estate was at the bottom with minus 0.73 percent.
Among the leading shares, which are included in the OMXS30 index, Alfa Laval rose 2.2 percent while Saab was up 2.0 percent. SBB B was the worst performer, down 2.5%, while Electrolux was down 1.6%.
Thursday offered a calmer news flow. Real estate company Nivika presented its interim figures, which showed a profit from property management that rose by almost 18 percent to SEK 64.6 million. Nivika fell 0.3 percent.
Industrial company Malmbergs Elektriska reported lower revenues in the third quarter. Operating profit turned into a loss during the period. The share rose 1.0 percent.
Ahead of its Capital Markets Day, industrial company Alfa Laval announced that it aims to reach SEK 100 billion in annual sales by 2030. The company also raised its climate ambitions. Alfa's share climbed 2.2 percent.
The real estate company Balder sold the leasehold Göta Ark 18 at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm to AMF Fastigheter. The transfer is made through a company sale and the deal is based on a ground lease value of SEK 1 billion. Balder rose 0.1 percent.
The measurement technology company Hexagon announced an acquisition in Germany. Indurad has sales of EUR 19 million and is active in radar-based systems used in mines. Hexagon fell 1.2 percent.
Gaming company Stillfront announced on Thursday that it is considering issuing new bonds for SEK 750 million. Stillfront rose 1.1 percent.
Investment company Stockwik rallied 11 percent after the company announced several major transparency deals. Among other things, the CEO and chairman added to their holdings.
Technology group Sdiptech fell 2.6 percent. The company has issued additional senior secured sustainability-linked bonds for SEK 200 million.
Technology company Anoto announced that pre-orders for its new "LivePen" in the US and Canada exceed previous launches. During the afternoon, large movements were noted in the company's share. At the close, it was up 9.3 percent.
