The Stockholm stock exchange ended Thursday on a cheerful note, mirroring the trend on the leading European exchanges. The day was characterized by a series of quarterly reports and M&A from both Volvo Cars and Mildef. Towards the end of the day, Bioarctic came with positive news for lecanemab.

At the close, the OMXS30 index was up 0.75 percent to 2,531.39. Shares worth around SEK 17.1 billion were traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

The best performance among the stock exchange's major industrial sectors was healthcare with a rise of 1.3 percent. At the other end of the scale were consumer staples, which rose by 0.1%.

Among the leading stocks, which are included in the OMXS30 index, Nibe rose 5.1 percent while Kinnevik was up 5.0 percent. Sinch was the worst performer, down 2.9 percent, while Saab was down 2.3 percent.

Volvo Cars is selling its 30% stake in Lynk & Co to Zeekr for a purchase price of SEK 8 billion, of which 70% of the proceeds will be paid at closing and 30% plus interest one year after closing. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025. Volvo Cars shares rose 4.4 percent.

Mildef announced a major acquisition after the close on Wednesday evening and is carrying out a directed share issue of SEK 500 million to part-finance the deal. The share rose 3.6 percent.

The research company Bioarctic announced today that the European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has given a positive recommendation for approval of the company's partner Eisai's application for marketing authorization, MAA, for lecanemab as a treatment for Alzheimer's disease. The share price jumped 30% on the stock exchange.

Embracer's adjusted operating profit came in lower than expected in Q3. Sells the Easybrain operating group to Miniclip for around SEK 12.9 billion. The share rose 6.2 percent.

Game development company Starbreeze reported lower sales in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. The operating result showed a loss compared to a profit in the previous period. The share fell 19.1 percent.

Battery charger company CTEK fell 0.4 percent on the stock exchange after reporting increased sales in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. Adjusted operating profit, measured as ebita, increased during the period and net income showed a turnaround to profit.

Diamond mining company Lucara Diamond reported both a decrease in sales and adjusted ebitda in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. Net profit was almost completely wiped out during the period. The company is lowering its full-year forecast and now expects revenue to fall below the initial guidance range of $220-250 million. The stock fell 18.1 percent.

Heavy-duty vehicle dealer Ferronordic reported increased sales in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. The operating result showed a turnaround to profit. The share rose 6.1 percent.

Betting and affiliate company Better Collective reported figures for the third quarter that are in line with the preliminary ones. Operating profit and net profit, whose preliminary figures were not presented at the end of October, decreased during the period compared to last year. The stock rose 3.4 percent.

Gaming company Thunderful Group reported a decrease in revenue in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. The operating loss increased. The company also announces a strategic restructuring and takes write-downs of 220-240 million. The share falls 21.1 percent.

Ovzon has received an extension of the 12-month order of SEK 115 million signed with Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) in September this year. The new total order value is SEK 132 million. The share rose 10.9 percent.

On the analysis front, Handelsbanken raised MTG to Buy from Hold, which caused the share to rise 1.6 percent.

Pareto Securities initiates coverage of AQ Group with buy and a target price of SEK 170. AQ rose 2.6 percent.

Affärsvärlden chooses to take home the profit in Vimian and lowers its recommendation to neutral. Vimian fell 0.2 percent.
