FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - After the recent heavy price turbulence, the Dax started trading little changed on Friday. The leading German index remained virtually unchanged at 17,680.63 points. Price gains in the USA and Asia provided support. Over the week as a whole, this represents a small gain, after recession worries in the USA had weighed heavily on the stock market barometer on Monday.
Thanks to encouraging quarterly figures from companies, the MDax of medium-sized companies rose by 0.63% to 24,258.88 points on Friday. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading index in the eurozone, rose by 0.11 percent./la/jha/
