Stellantis has signed a joint venture agreement valued at approximately 1 billion euros with Chinese state-owned automaker Dongfeng to manufacture Peugeot and Jeep branded vehicles in China.

According to a statement from Stellantis, the automaker is expected to contribute around 130 million euros to the project.

Dongfeng's Wuhan plant will produce two Jeep-branded New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) for global markets starting in 2027, Stellantis said in the release.

The Wuhan facility will also manufacture two Peugeot-branded NEVs specifically for the Chinese market.
