Defense companies Saab and Embraer have successfully concluded a certification campaign confirming that the Gripen E can be refueled in-flight by the KC-390, further strengthening technical cooperation within the Brazilian Air Force.
The tests covered multiple flight conditions and were conducted at Embraer's facility in Gavião Peixoto, under the supervision of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA). The results will now be reviewed by Swedish and Brazilian certification authorities.
