Pharmaceutical company Orion Pharma is presenting the first Phase 1 results for its cancer candidate ODM-212 at the ASCO Congress in Chicago. The candidate is being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors with Hippo pathway dysregulation, including pleural mesothelioma, epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE), KRAS G12C-mutated lung cancer, and pancreatic cancer.

'We are encouraged by the safety profile and early signs of clinical activity observed for ODM-212, particularly in mesothelioma and EHE, where treatment options remain limited', says Professor Outi Vaarala, Head of Research and Development at Orion Pharma.

'These results support the continued clinical development of ODM-212 both as a monotherapy and in combination treatments', the professor continues.

ODM-212 showed early signs of efficacy, particularly in mesothelioma and EHE. The overall response rate reached 15.6 percent, while mesothelioma patients showed a response rate of 27.8 percent. The treatment was well tolerated with no dose-limiting toxicities.
