(Alliance News) - The Mib kicked off the week in positive territory, pushing the index past the 43,400-point mark in a week that will see an increasing number of corporate earnings reports released.

The Mib is currently up 0.7% at 43,463.62 points, with a put/call ratio of 1.52.

In Paris, the CAC 40 is just above parity, the DAX 40 is up 0.6%, and London's FTSE 100 is advancing by 0.2%.

Among the smaller indices on Piazza Affari, the Mid-Cap is up 0.9% at 58,086.64, the Small-Cap is gaining 0.3% at 34,466.07, and the Italy Growth index is up 0.2% at 8,697.67 points.

On the Mib, A2A stands out, pushing its share price up 5.0% to EUR2.65, hitting a high of EUR2.67 and setting a new 52-week peak at that price.

Banca Popolare di Sondrio is also advancing, up 1.5% at EUR14.73 per share, poised for its fourth consecutive bullish session.

Unipol, up 0.7%, remains a key player in the ongoing Italian financial shake-up. As the leading shareholder of BPER with around 19%, the Bologna-based group led by Carlo Cimbri played a decisive role in supporting the EUR4.8 billion OPAS for Popolare di Sondrio, further strengthening BPER's position at the top of the banking sector. According to Milano Finanza, this move follows other key actions: acquiring UBI branches from Intesa Sanpaolo and rescuing Carige, which expanded the Emilia-based group's network.

Tenaris, up 0.3%, announced it has signed a non-discretionary buyback agreement with a major financial institution for the execution of the second tranche of its USD1.2 billion share repurchase program, launched on May 27. The new tranche will cover up to USD600 million, net of fees, and will be carried out between November 3 this year and April 30, 2026.

On the Mid-Cap, BFF Bank is up 9.4% at EUR11.44 per share, marking its third consecutive bullish session.

Avio is also up 3.3%, following a 6.2% gain on Friday evening.

Alerion Clean Power, up 0.2%, announced that its subsidiary Alerion Ireland Limited completed the acquisition on Friday of 100% of Milestone Wind Farm Ltd, owner of a 14.4 MW onshore wind farm in County Tipperary, Ireland. The plant, operational since 2018, consists of four Vestas V105 turbines of 3.6 MW each and benefits from a REFIT incentive, guaranteeing a minimum price for the energy produced while allowing for potential market upside.

At the back of the pack among the minority of decliners, Webuild is down 1.7% at EUR3.44 per share.

On the Small-Cap, SIT is showing strength, with its share price up 8.3% at EUR2.66 after two bearish sessions.

Itway, down 1.4%, announced on Friday that it returned to profit in the first half, posting a net result of EUR50,000 compared to a net loss of EUR165,000 in the same period last year. Revenues rose to EUR36.2 million from EUR24.9 million a year earlier.

In New York on Friday evening, the Dow gained 0.1%, the Nasdaq advanced 0.6%, and the S&P 500 closed up 0.3%.

Borgosesia, flat at EUR0.57, announced its board of directors has approved two new securitization operations. The first, named Janus, has a maximum fundraising target of EUR20.00 million and will be established under the Basket Loans Program securitization scheme. The company is expected to participate as a minority investor with a maximum stake of EUR1.0 million, while the remaining securities may be subscribed by other investors.

Zucchi is down 3.7% at EUR0.894, after two sessions of gains.

Among SMEs, expert.ai is up 3.2%, following a 1.1% loss in the previous session.

Braga Moro is also strong, up 2.2% at EUR3.78 per share, following Friday's 4.5% gain.

Ubaldi Costruzioni--still not traded, last price at EUR4.52--announced Friday it has finalized the definitive awarding of the contract for the Valgarizia tunnel, tendered by ANAS Spa. The definitive award marks the second stage of the tender process and formalizes the start of the contracting phase, which precedes the beginning of operational activities.

Metriks, down 2.2%, announced Friday it purchased 10,000 of its own ordinary shares between October 27 and 31. The shares were acquired at an average unit price of EUR3.6870, for a total value of EUR36,870.

In Asia, the Nikkei was closed for a holiday, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.6%, and the Hang Seng closed up 1.1%.

On the currency front, the euro is trading at USD1.1525 from USD1.1537 at Friday's equity close, while the pound is at USD1.3129 from USD1.3134 on Friday evening.

Among commodities, Brent is trading at USD64.85 a barrel from USD64.29 at Friday's close, while gold is at USD4,015.61 an ounce from USD3,996.39 an ounce on Friday evening.

On Monday's economic calendar, the Italian manufacturing PMI is due at 0945 CET, followed at five-minute intervals by readings from France, Germany, and finally the Eurozone at 1000 CET.

In the afternoon, from the USA, the ISM manufacturing PMI is expected at 1545 CET, while between 1800 CET and 2000 CET, Federal Reserve officials Daly and Cook are scheduled to speak.

On the corporate calendar, results are expected from Lottomatica Group, OPS Ecom, Nusco, and Xenia Hotellerie Solution.
