Ilaria Resta became the new chief executive of Audemars Piguet earlier this year, following two decades at consumer goods giant Proctor and Gamble (PG). Analysts say her mission is to stabilize the brand and capitalize on its transformation from a watchmaker to a luxury house.

Resta spoke to Bloomberg's Francine Lacqua about the company's outlook, demand from female customers, and why the company wants to remain independent.
