(Alliance News) - The Mib rose 0.6% midway through Monday's trading session, settling above 43,400 and marking its highest level in over three weeks, as well as starting November on a positive note.

Among economic data, the eurozone manufacturing sector showed a new, albeit modest, sign of improvement in October.

According to data released by S&P Global and HCOB on Monday, the manufacturing PMI stood at 50.0 points, up from 49.8 in September, reaching its highest level in two months. The figure is in line with analysts' estimates.

The MIB is thus up 0.6% at 43,430.24 points, with a put/call ratio of 0.99.

The CAC 40 in Paris is up 0.3%, the DAX 40 is up 1.0%, while the FTSE 100 in London is up 0.1%.

Among the minor indices on the Milan Stock Exchange, the Mid-Cap is up 0.5% to 57,885.26, the Small-Cap is up 0.5% to 36,534.66, while the Italia Growth is up 0.2% to 8,695.14 points.

On the Mib, A2A confirmed its strength, pushing the price up 6.1% to EUR2.67 per share, updating the new 52-week high to that price.

Stellantis rose 3.0% to EUR9.04 per share after two bearish sessions.

Banca Popolare di Sondrio advanced 2.6% to EUR14.88 per share, on track for its fourth session to close with a bullish candle if confirmed at the close.

Unipol - up 1.1% - remains one of the protagonists of Italian financial risk. As the largest shareholder in BPER with approximately 19%, the Bologna-based group led by Carlo Cimbri decisively supported the EUR4.8 billion takeover bid for Popolare di Sondrio, strengthening BPER's position at the top of the banking system. As Milano Finanza writes, the operation follows other key moves: the purchase of UBI branches from Intesa Sanpaolo and the rescue of Carige, which expanded the Emilian group's network.

Tenaris - up 0.5% - announced that it has signed a non-discretionary buyback agreement with a leading financial institution for the execution of the second tranche of its USD1.2 billion share buyback program, which began on May 27. The new tranche will cover up to USD 600 million, net of commissions, and will be carried out between November 3 of this year and April 30, 2026.

Campari, on the other hand, fell 3.6%, after a 0.1% decline on Friday evening. The Guardia di Finanza (Italian financial police) seized EUR 1.29 billion worth of shares from Lagfin, the Luxembourg-based holding company of President Luca Garavoglia, which controls 51.8% of the spirits group. As reported by Milano Finanza, the measure, ordered by the Monza investigating magistrate, is part of an investigation into fraudulent declarations through other means and the administrative liability of legal entities.

Garavoglia and Giovanni Berto, Lagfin's legal representative, are listed in the register of suspects. The investigation, which began in 2023, concerns the 2018 merger in which Lagfin incorporated its Italian subsidiary, which holds a majority stake in Campari. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, the company failed to declare capital gains of EUR 5.3 billion subject to a 24% exit tax relating to the transfer of its tax domicile abroad.

On the Mid-Cap, doValue is up 4.1% to EUR2.81 per share, its third consecutive bullish candle.

BFF Bank rose 4.0% to EUR10.88 per share, its third bullish session.

Avio rose 1.7%, following Friday evening's 6.2% gain.

Alerion Clean Power - down 3.1% - through its subsidiary Alerion Ireland Limited, on Friday completed the acquisition of 100% of Milestone Wind Farm Ltd, a company that owns a 14.4 MW onshore wind farm located in County Tipperary, Ireland. The plant, which began operating in 2018, consists of four Vestas V105 turbines, each with a capacity of 3.6 MW, and benefits from a REFIT incentive, which guarantees a minimum price for the energy produced while allowing any market upside to be exploited.

On the Small-Cap, Softlab advances 6.5% to EUR1.47, after Friday evening's 0.7% decline.

SIT also gained strength, rising 3.6% to EUR2.61 per share after two sessions of decline.

Itway, down 1.7%, announced on Friday that it had closed the first half of the year back in profit, with a net result of EUR 50,000 compared to a net loss of EUR 165,000 in the same period last year. Revenues rose to EUR 36.2 million from EUR 24.9 million a year earlier.

In New York on Friday evening, the Dow gained 0.1%, the Nasdaq advanced 0.6%, while the S&P 500 closed up 0.3%.

Borgosesia - flat at EUR0.57 - announced that its board of directors had approved two new securitization transactions. The first, called Janus, with a maximum fundraising target of EUR 20.00 million, will be set up within the Basket Loans Program securitization program, and the company is expected to participate in it as a minority shareholder, up to the maximum amount currently envisaged of EUR 1.0 million, while the remaining securities may be subscribed by other investors.

Zucchi, on the other hand, is down 3.7% to EUR0.894, after two sessions of gains.

Among SMEs, Estrima is up 4.6%, after falling 1.1% in the previous session.

Braga Moro is also strong, up 2.27% to EUR 3.80 per share, following Friday evening's 4.5% gain.

Ubaldi Costruzioni - up 0.9% at EUR4.56 - announced on Friday that it had been awarded the contract for the Valgarizia tunnel, put out to tender by ANAS Spa. The final award represents the second stage of the tender process and formalizes the start of the contracting phase, which precedes the start of operational activities.

Giglio.com, on the other hand, is down 4.0%, bringing the price to around EUR0.96 per share.

In Asia, the Nikkei remained closed for a holiday, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.6%, while the Hang Seng closed up 1.1%.

On the currency front, the euro is trading at USD 1.1514 from USD 1.1537 at Friday's stock market close, while the pound is trading at USD 1.3131 from USD 1.3134 on Friday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude traded at USD 65.00 per barrel, down from USD 64.29 per barrel at Friday evening's close, while gold was worth USD 4,000.17 per ounce, up from USD 3,996.39 per ounce on Friday evening.

On Monday's economic calendar, in the afternoon, the US ISM manufacturing PMI is due at 1545 CET, while between 1800 CET and 2000 CET, Daly and Cook of the Federal Reserve will give speeches.
