Barclays has appointed Mckinsey & Co executive Sid Azad as head of mass affluent and growth.  Sid Azad assumes this newly created role, leading the mass affluent franchise and playing a key role in shaping the overall growth strategy across the bank?s UK and Crown Dependencies proposition.  Azad joins the firm after nine years at business consultancy company McKinsey where, as partner, he co-led the European wealth & asset management practice. In this capacity he oversaw a team of more than 50 experts, consulting on a range of topics including strategy, transformation and new business building. Prior to McKinsey, Azad has had a diverse range of roles according to his LinkedIn profile, including spells at Kraft Heinz, Ernst and Young and cyber security firm Booz Allen Hamilton.  Barclays has also promoted Nick May to head of Crown Dependencies, succeeding Paul Savery once he steps down from the role in November.  May started his career on a graduate scheme at Barclays in 1999, before moving to HSBC as UK market head nine years later.

He rejoined Barclays in August 2024 and currently serves as global head of the fiduciaries business.
